About ICON84
Free tools.
Zero catch.
We're a small crew from the Netherlands who get a kick out of making free tools for people. No upsells, no subscriptions, no "pro version". Just plugins we'd want to use ourselves.
Built with A.I. No surprises.
We'd rather say it upfront than have you find out later: ICON84 plugins are built with the help of A.I. It's how a tiny team can put out far more free tools than we ever could by hand.
A.I. helps us write the code. The ideas, the sound, the look and the final say on what gets released are ours.
- What A.I. does Helps write and refine the plugin code.
- What we do Decide what to build, shape the sound and the interface.
- What you get Free tools, clearly labelled — no hidden surprises.
Why it's free.
Making tools people actually use is the fun part for us. We don't want to make money from ICON84, so every plugin is free to download — no account, no licence key, no email address required. An account is only needed if you want to leave a review.
Running the project does cost a little every month: hosting, the domain and our tools. Donations go towards exactly that — nothing more. Donating is completely optional and never unlocks anything; every plugin is free for everyone, always.

Are the plugins really free?
Yes. Every ICON84 plugin is free to download and use. There is no paid version.
Do they work on Mac?
Not yet — macOS (VST3 / AU) is coming soon. For now all plugins are VST3 for Windows 64-bit.
Which DAWs are supported?
Any Windows DAW that loads VST3 plugins, such as Reaper, Ableton Live, FL Studio and Cubase.
Why say they're built with A.I.?
Because we think you should know. A.I. helps us write the code; we decide what gets made and how it sounds.
Do I need an account?
Only to leave reviews and star ratings. Downloading never requires an account.
What do donations pay for?
Only our small monthly running costs, like hosting and the domain. Donating is optional and doesn't unlock anything extra.
